Why I Hate Microsoft Word...

I just finished the section on "improv comics."

It changed every "improv" I wrote to "improve" as I wrote it.

Everyone's a critic.

Comments:
Ick! And if you use non-US English, and the dictionary is set wrong, it'll start assimilating you into the Culture.

But its even more annoying if you're coder. When I was doing Prolog homework a few years back it kept turn parts of my code snippets into smileys! Trust me, there are NO smiles in prolog (the odd chalk outline maybe).

But once again I blether... :)

There has to be a way to turn that function off.

Oh there is! You just have to click some 10-20 tickboxes on 5 tabs of AutoFormat settings dialog!

I usually take the effort to do it, but sometimes I'm just lazy...

Disclaimer: I'm sure its just a case of hitting a few KEY tickboxes, but its not obvious which ones are the "true" setting, nor can I be bothered to figure it out...

Clippy thought you were trying to write a letter!
