Bye Bye, Boxy!

I just dropped "the black box"... my old computer... into the garbage pile.

It feels so good!

A note to all you Craigslisters out there: do not buy a computer that comes from someone who likes to build them for fun. That makes you his sole beta-tester. And that can cause PROBLEMS.

Comments:
Did the computer try to disable your life support systems?

Lil' bastards are always trying to do that.

Be careful though- they read lips. ;)

Torn:

a) But diagnosing hardware conflicts is hell of easy!
b) Oh, wait. That's why I ended up with Macs: because fixing that sort of PC all day made me want to pull my brains out with a mimikaki.

It depends on what that person was building the computer for... in my experience, buying a computer somebody built for maximum stability is the best choice short of buying a Mac... beats buying a store-built system any time.
Though, if he got the cheapest components he could find, then you'd better look elsewhere. :)
