Whew!

Last night finally saw the first draft of "Gaming Guardians: System Failure." This is my most direct attempt to date at rock-your-socks-off superhero action, refined with the humanity that has always seemed to me the strongest asset of Graveyard Greg's work. Don't know how my partner in crime Graveyard Greg is going to take it yet, but he and I have gotten on pretty well so far, so not nervous at all, nope nope. if all goes well it should see publication online and as an OGN by '06.

This is going to be a trial OGN-- I'd love to do more, but it all depends on whether sales and revenues justify. (So, y'know, if you like things that are good, then when the time comes, BUY IT. Is it too soon to be plugging a comic that's still "in development?" What's the rulebook say there?)

Now for the fun part-- the waiting on tenterhooks, biting my nails till they bleed.

Graveyard Greg and I are co-writing a rip-snortin', triumphant-and-tragic, LOOOOOOOOONG installment of his long-running superhero webcomic. I can't tell too much cause it'll spoil upcoming storylines, but I got to work with almost all my favorites, especially the villain...

Also, the first five pages feature the destruction of a planet and a direct challenge to God Himself. Good times.

We'll throw out more info in little crumblets in the months between then and now...

You probably jinx a project by hyping it THIS far in advance. Plus you do Graveyard Greg no favors by linking to his work. The writing is somewhere between fan fic and competent, and the art by "Webtroll" is utterly amateurish. I hope you can find a quality artist.
