The First Guest Strip?
EDITED: Jeff Lowrey asked, and it occurs to me that I really don't know, and that I'd like to know in time to revise The History. Does anyone know what the earliest guest strip in webcomics was? If not, what's the earliest you can remember? Please e-mail me privately rather than using the comments line.

The earliest ones I can think of are the 1999 April Foolsday swaps such as Funny Farm with Newshounds and GPF with Melonpool.
